Almost every cloud storage service starts the same way: “Enter your email.” Then,
“Verify your phone number.” KryVault starts with nothing. This page explains why
that matters, how it works, and whether it is right for you.
Why your email and phone number matter
A phone number is an ID. In India, every SIM card is issued against an identity document, so your number points straight back to you.
Your email unlocks everything else. Bank alerts, shopping, social media and password resets all go to it. If a storage account is tied to your email, anyone who gets into that email can often reset their way into your files too.
An account in your name tells the company whose files they are holding. If they are ever hacked, or asked to hand over data, your identity goes along with your files.
How KryVault works without them
Click Create a free vault. Your browser makes a random 28-character key. That key is your whole account.
Save the key somewhere safe. It is shown only once.
Add files and notes. They are encrypted inside your browser before they are uploaded, so our server only ever holds scrambled data, file sizes and dates.
Open your vault from any browser, on any device, by typing the key. Close the tab and nothing stays behind.
There are no cookies and no ads. We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics,
which does not collect your key or your files. The full step-by-step

When KryVault is not the right choice
If you might lose the key. There is no recovery of any kind.
For big backups. The free vault holds 100 MB; paid plans hold 5 GB or 20 GB.
As the only copy of photos you cannot replace. Always keep another copy somewhere else.
Is anonymous storage legal?
Yes. Privacy is not a crime. Illegal content is still illegal, and it is removed
when a valid legal order identifies specific data. We simply have nothing else to
