Questions people actually ask
What happens if I lose my key?
Your data is gone. Permanently. We don’t store your key or anything derived from it that could recreate it — that’s exactly why nobody can pressure us into opening your vault.
What can you see on your servers?
Encrypted blobs, their sizes, and timestamps. No filenames, no content, no identity. If someone seized our server they would learn nothing about you or your files.
Is this legal to use?
Yes. Privacy is not a crime. Illegal content is still illegal and gets removed when a valid legal order identifies specific data — but we have nothing else to hand over, by design.
Why should I trust you?
Don’t — verify. The encryption code runs in your browser where you (or anyone technical) can inspect it. The design assumes our server is compromised and protects you anyway.
How long does a free vault last?
90 days, then a 30-day read-only grace period to take your data out. Paid plans extend the vault for however long you prepay.
