Terms of Use

Last updated: 9 July 2026

By using KryVault you agree to these terms. They are written to be plain and short. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Your key is your responsibility

If you lose your key, your data is gone forever. We do not store your key and cannot reset it, recover it, or unlock your vault for you. This is the core design of the product, not a limitation we can work around.

Anyone who has your key can open your vault. Keep it safe and private — treat it like the only copy of a physical key to a locker.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use KryVault to store, share, or distribute:

Privacy is not a crime, and lawful private use is exactly what this service is for. But the protections here are not a shield for unlawful activity. Where a valid legal order identifies specific unlawful content, it will be removed.

Storage, quotas, and expiry

Free vaults include 100 MB of storage and stay active for 90 days, followed by a 30-day read-only grace period to download your data. Limits and plan details are shown on the site and may change over time. Paid plans, when available, extend storage and vault lifetime for the period you prepay.

Payments

Paid plans use prepaid redemption codes — you buy a code and redeem it inside your vault. There is no auto-billing and no subscription that renews on its own. Payment is never linked to what you store. Prepaid amounts are generally non-refundable once redeemed, except where required by law.

Service provided "as is"

We work to keep KryVault reliable, but we provide it on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for loss of data caused by a lost key, your own device, or events beyond our reasonable control. Keep your own backups of anything important.

Suspension

We may remove content or restrict access where required by a valid legal order or to stop abuse of the service, to the limited extent our zero-knowledge design allows.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date above shows the latest version. Continued use of the service means you accept the current terms.
